Potty Training!
We have been talking to Colton about going potty for a while now but never really got serious until recently. I didn't want to potty train during football season and I just felt he wasn't ready. Well in the last week or so, he decided he was ready. I don't know whether it was his "Once Upon A Potty" movie I bought him, which he loves or the fact that some of the kids at his school go to the big potty, but he just seemed more ready. With the help of my mom, we started putting him in real underwear during the day when we are at home and he's been doing really well! I think he gets it! I was worried about nights because he always wakes up so wet in the morning but for 2 nights in a row, he has woken up and needed to potty at 3:30 or 4:30 and then wakes up dry. He didn't last night but he slept all night so he was probably really tired! I haven't changed a diaper since Friday morning! We are very proud of our big boy!

Kemah!
Last night we went to Kemah. Colton loved riding all the rides and I think Daddy did too! We rode the train, which broke down halfway through our ride. Then we went to touch the stingrays, which I didn't get any pictures of. Then we went to the Farris wheel, which Colton loved and then we went on the merry-go round. He didn't want to leave, but it was getting late. We will go back when I am on maternity leave so we can ride all day!

Dancing?
Here is a video of Colton dancing last night. He did this several times and the first couple of times were true dancing, but towards the end I think he was practicing his breakdancing moves for Uncle Markie's wedding.

Dentist!
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE going to the dentist. I look forward to it every 6 months. So I was so excited when, at his two year check up, Dr. Talbot said that I should get Colton to the dentist sometime in the next year. I was ready to call and make an appt then but had to wait until January when I could sign him up for dental insurance. Today was the big day. Colton went to the dentist. I took him to Dr. Escue, the same dentist I went to from when I was little until he kicked me out at 22 years old. I was his oldest patient. I was getting Colton psyched to go to the dentist all month and it worked. He was excited. He played on the boat/fish tank that they have in the office and was just having a great time. The nurse came out and asked for "Booker" and Colton said, really loud, "Why did she says Boogers." It was a little embarrassing but I couldn't help but laugh. Then it was our turn. They took us back to a separate exam room. The nurse gave him a balloon which he was very excited about and then Dr. Escue came in. Colton laid on the table like a big boy and let the dr. look all in his mouth. He got a little aggitated but overall he did great. They didn't do a cleaning this time. They will do that in 6 months when he's a little older but his teeth look good and he has no cavities. That's my boy! We will continue to work on brushing and not just sucking on the toothpaste and then he will have his first cleaning in 6 months. So exciting!

Toddler Talk
I have decided to dedicate this post to the funny things Colton has said recently. It's so fun to watch his little brain work. He figures things out and pieces things together. I know he's my kid and everyone thinks their kids are smart, but I really do think he is a genius. He remembers things that I don't think normal 2 years old remember. This morning we were on our way to my moms when I asked him why he woke up in the middle of the night last night crying. He looked at me and said, "I don't know, baby." I cracked up! The other night we were folding the baby's clothes and he picked up some pants and said, "They are so freaking tiny!" Where does he come up with these things? Sunday night, we were watching football and he ran to get his football from his room but couldn't play unless I put his Peyton Manning jersey on. Football players wear jerseys not pajamas! My bosses name is Elmo and Colton asks me eveyday if my Elmo was a work today. I think he thinks my boss is red. Charles was in the other room and Colton wanted to ask him if he liked milk so he started yelling, "Daddy, Daddy." When he got no answer, he screamed, "Charles!" He knows his birthday and remembers it. He loves Peyton Manning or at least his Peyton Manning jersey. He loves football but understands that it is not football season anymore and that it is now soccer season. He loves to cuddle and watch Cars. He will climb up on my lap if I'm on the couch and say, "I want to talk about your baby." He hates wearing pants and always wants to have a pants off dance off. He is stubborn and hard headed but he is also the most loving, sweet, cuddly and cutest little boy ever!

Happy New Year!
Happy 2010! The Moore Family is looking forward to 2010 so we can meet our new baby girl! I went to the dr. on Dec. 31 and everything is fine. My glucose test came back high so I have to go take the 3 hour test next week and I am a little anemic so I got put on iron pills but everything with the baby looks good. We spent New Years at my mom and dads with a few family members. Colton actually stayed awake until 11! We bought some sparklers and other fireworks and he loved them! We are looking forward to 2010 and all it will bring! Happy New Year!
