18 months

Today we went to the dr. for Colton's 18 month checkup. He didn't need any shots today so that was good. He is 32 3/4" long (60%), 24 lb. 8 oz. (40%) and 19 3/8" head size (80%). Dr. Talbot said his motor skills are tracking like a 2 year old. He's very smart. He is putting words together. Like Elmo nightnight. Or Puppy nightnight. He copies what we are saying. He says Caesar very well now. Overall, he is a genius. That's all there is to it.

Baby Picasso

Here are some more of Colton's drawings from school. Charles thinks he is a terrible drawer but I think he has potential! They did some water coloring today at school. I wish I were a fly on the wall to see how cute it is when six 1 year olds are coloring.

I know it's a little early, but we bought Colton a potty the other day. He knows when he is peepeeing and can make himself go and can stop midstream (and thinks it's hilarious by the way) so I figured I should at least introduce him to the potty. On Sunday night after his bath I sat him on the potty and he kind of just sat there and then he got up and ran around and then came back and wanted to sit again so we did but nothing happened and then he got up again and peed on the floor next to the potty. Baby steps. The next morning when we got up, he pointed to the potty and said "Wee wee" so he knows what is supposed to happen there. So every night we sit on the potty a little. I'm not forcing it, I'm just getting him used to it. He likes it so that is a good thing. He is having his Thanksgiving party at school next Thursday and I signed up to bring cheese cubes. How many cheese cubes do you bring for a class of 6 one year olds? I was going to sign up to bring grapes, but the paper said you have to cut them into fourths and that just seemed like a lot of work for grapes. If your one year old can't eat a grape whole, something may be wrong.

Cleo Cornhead

Here is a picture of Cleo after dinner one night. My son has a love of throwing things. It doesn't matter what it is, he will throw it. He threw a pencil at a waitress the other night. A little embarrassing. Anyways, he throws food too and one night he threw his corn and a morsel landed on Cleo's head and it was there for a while. It was pretty funny. By the end of that meal, Cleo had corn on her head and Caesar had Alfredo in his hair. Just another dinner at the Moore residence.

End of Football :-(

The Chargers lost last night in a very close game with Dickinson. We are very sad about this because we really wanted to make the playoffs. Oh well, next year, we will definitely make the playoffs. We did so well this year, especially for only having Juniors and Sophomores. What are we going to do on Friday nights now?? In other news, Charles' back is much better. He is walking normally and doesn't have as much pain. Colton is still going to school every Tuesday and Thursday. He still cries when we drop him off but only for a few seconds. He had a great day yesterday. I have posted a few of his pictures that he has drawn at school. He is a very great artist! He is also very excited that he will have a new cousin! Mark and Beth are expecting a baby in early July! Congratulations!!!
