Football is back!

The Chargers had their first football game on Friday vs. Spring Dekaney. Here is some video of Coach getting ready for the big game. Here is also a very cute video of Colton with his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. He is too cute for words. The game had a lightning delay in the third quarter so we went home since it was already 9:30 but they ended up starting the game back up around 10:15. The Chargers lost 23-17. :-( We play Alvin Manvel on Thursday. Go Chargers!

Baby's Pictures

Here are a couple of pics from the ultrasound on Wed. The first is of the whole baby and the second is a close up of the baby's face. It looks like a girl to me! Everything looks good and I took the gender blood test so we will know what we are having next week! YEAH!!!

Colton bowling and Baby Dr. Visits

Charles's school had a mixer at the bowling alley so we went and Colton went bowling for the first time. He's pretty good. All that Wii bowling has paid off for him I guess.

In other news, I went to the dr. on Wed. so my monthly visit and everything is fine. We didn't get an ultrasound but we heard the heartbeat and everything looks good. I am going this Wed. for my first trimester screening at a Genetics Medical place and they are going to do an in depth ultrasound and bloodwork to test for Downs Syndrome, etc. I am looking forward to that ultrasound because the baby will look more like a baby and not just a speck like the 8 week ultrasound. But what I am really looking forward to is taking the Jack or Jill Gender Test. It is just a blood test but is apparently 97% accurate to tell the sex of the baby as early as 11 weeks! My doctor said she has never seen it be wrong! We could know what we are having by the end of the week instead of by the end of October! I will definitely keep you posted on those results as well as the ultrasound pics on Wed.

Colton's First Trip to the beach

I know, we live 30 minutes from the beach and yet it has taken us 2 years to take our son. We should be ashamed. We are not beachy people. Oh well. We took him this past weekend for a birthday party and he had fun. He wasn't too sure about it at first and didn't like his feet to get sandy but he quickly got over that and enjoyed himself.

Summer Fun!

Paw Paw set out the sprinkler yesterday for Colton and Ty to play in. Colton had a blast. Here is some video. Excuse the sanding in the background. My brother, Bob Vila, was making a table.

Are you ready for some football?

Ready or not, football season is upon us. Charles started two a days today so I am officially a football widow. Football season is going to be exciting this year since Colton is older and I think he will enjoy the games a lot more now. Last year, he didn't really play with the other kids but I think that will change this year. We are ready! Go Chargers!

I have been feeling much better. Last Tuesday was awful! Then I woke up Wednesday and just felt better. I thought it was a fluke but I have not thrown up since last Tuesday and I am actually able to eat now. Food doesn't completely repulse me anymore. I still have times when I don't fell well, but I can handle this.

Meme and Pappy came down to visit us this weekend. Their visit was just the motivation we needed to finish some projects on the house. We fixed up the guest room and moved the computer into the formal living room. I think it worked out well. I still need to post pictures of the new house. I am terrible with pictures. We had a great time with Meme and Pappy and I know Colton loved their visit! Can't wait to see them again soon!

Colton is so funny. Some of the things that come out of his mouth are unbelievable. Yesterday we were at my mom's house and he is obsessed with her robot (roomba). He always wants to turn it on and when he does he runs up on the couch because he is scared of it. He left his little glow worm baby on the floor yesterday when he turned the roomba on and mom told him to go pick up his baby or the roomba was going to get it. He ran over and picked up the baby and jumped on the couch where I was sitting, looked at me and said, "That was close!" We cracked up! It's so fun to see his little brain working. Such a fun age!
