Ainsley is 4 and 1/2 weeks old already! It seems like yesterday when she was born. I remember when Colton was a newborn I couldn't wait until he got older and bigger and more active. With Ainsley, I want her to stay this little forever! I am curious to see what kind if personality little miss will have. Will she be funny and outgoing like her brother and dad or will she be more reserved like me? What will she look like? I want to know all these things but I'm going to enjoy this time when she's tiny because I know how fast it will change. Colton is almost 3 already!

Happy one month birthday!

Our little girl is one month old today. Time really has flown by! Ainsley is such a calm, good baby. Let's hope it stays that way! There isn't much to report on progress because she doesn't do much of anything. She is getting bigger and her eyes have gotten blue. She looks a lot like Colton did at this age. Colton is adjusting well to being a big brother. He tries to be helpful and likes to shake her bottles and bring me diapers. He says she is his most favorite baby he's ever seen! It's pretty cute.

Princess?

Colton decided to put a burp cloth on baby girls head and when asked what he was doing, he replied, "I'm making her a princess." ok... Whatever...

Bath time!

Colton was scared of Ainsley's umbilical cord stump since she came home. At first he thought it was poop and then he just wouldn't look at it. He got used to it and I explained that once it fell off we could give her a real bath. Every day he would ask if her belly button had fallen off. Finally it did yesterday. Tonight was her first real bath and Colton was so excited!

Life goes on

We are adjusting well to having a new baby in the house. It helps that she's a really good baby! Soccer season is over and now it's spring break. I'm excited to have Charles home for a week. It's my busy week at work so the timing is perfect!

Today was Texan day at colton's school. They had a petting zoo come to the school and he got to pet and brush the animals. Here is a pic of my little cowboy.

Week 1

It's been a week since our baby girl was born. It's been a very calm week. We really haven't had to change our schedules very much. She seems to just fit into our life. She is a very calm, good baby. She is a great sleeper so far. Let's hope that continues. Colton is proving to be a great big brother. He likes to help me with bathing and changing her clothes. Not so much with diapers. He gets a little grossed out. Baby girl is back up to her birth weight. She loves to eat and is becoming more and more alert.

Ainsley

Ainsley Grace Moore entered the world on February 28 at 8:52 pm weighing in a whopping 8 lbs 9 oz. 19.5 inches long. The labor was WAY different than colton's. I was in labor for 34 hours with Colton and with this one, I started having contractions at around 3:30, went to the hospital at around 6:45 and had her at 8:52. It was wonderful as far as labor is concerned! Ainsley is adorable! She has a full head of hair and an adorable face. Colton is being the greatest big brother. He is very attentive and loves to pet her head. He got a lot of "big brother" presents including a mini exercise trampoline and a pair of roller skates. This kid thinks he's apolo ohno! Not afraid of anything. We are home now and a sweet princess is asleep on my chest.
