Jobs
Today I handed Colton a box of invites and told him that it was his job to give them to nonna. Then we started talking about jobs and I asked him what my job was and he said, "to turn on the tv to my shows." then I asked him what nonna's job was and he said, "to turn on Mario kart." The kid cracks me up and I want to remember the things he says. Ainsley better be a funny little girl. Her big brother has set the bar pretty high!
Just because
My husband informed me today that I needed to blog since it's been 4 days so here goes. This weekend I hosted a bridal shower for my brothers fiancé Monique. It was a success and I learned that my new house is set up pretty nicely for entertaining. As you can tell, we don't do a lot of entertaining since I am just now figuring this out and we've lived here since July. Oh well. Then on Saturday night Charles had to chaperone prom so I went with him. It was strange because it was at moody gardens in Galveston which was where my prom was held 12 years ago. It brought back some memories! We had a good time. Apparently short dresses and print dresses were big this year. I did see a girl that was wearing a dress similar to the poofy monstracity (sp?) I wore back in the day. I would have worn my prom dress if it still fit. It's just a little snug... :)
Baby girl is doing well. Still sleeping pretty good. After colton, a couple hours at a time is good though. Colton is doing great. I've noticed how vivid his imagination is getting lately. His teachers tell me he likes to put play pots on his head and say, "do you like my space helmet?" he also has a favorite fire truck toy at school that he calls his super duper calactic fire truck. I don't know what calactic means and Colton says he made it up. Such a silly boy. Here are some pics of my babies and a dead Cleo. It's my favorite way she sleeps!

Help! I'm running out of clean clothes!
I always say, "Ainsley is completely opposite of her brother." well, I think I am wrong. She,like Colton, seems to have reflux. We went yesterday for her 6 week appt. and dr. T put her on Zantac for babies and told me to thicken her feeds so we have been doing that for about a day and I just got projectile vomited on but this time instead of plain formula, I got hit with chunks thanks to the added rice starch in her formula! Yeah! I'm hoping it takes a couple of days for the meds to kick in. In other news, she got three shots yesterday and weighed in at 11 pounds 4 oz. (90%) was 75% in height and 50% in head circumference.

6 weeks already?
Ainsley will be 6 weeks old on Sunday. Where has the time gone? With Colton, I went back to work at 6 weeks. I couldn't imagine going back already although I am still working (and getting my full paycheck!) from home. I go to the dr on Monday for my 6 week check up and Ainsley goes on Thursday for hers. I can't wait to find out how much she weighs. She's a chunker!

Milestones
Ainsley smiled for the first time on April 4! At least it was the first time she smiled at me! She is so adorable. It's really a shame that when Colton was a newborn I was so scared and an emotional wreck that I didn't get to enjoy it. I'm really enjoying this baby. I know how fast it all changes. Colton is going to be 3 next month! I can't believe it. It just seems like yesterday that he was born. I'm going to enjoy Ainsley when she's little because the next thing I know she will be all grown up!
In other news, we were outside enjoying the nice weather the other night and we brought out the sidewalk chalk and had a blast! Of course we had to draw colton's most favorite cars he has ever seen in his whole life, Lightning McQueen, Chick Hicks and The King!

My favorite of my whole life
Colton has been very into "my favorite" lately. Everything he sees that is blue, he will yell "hey that's my favorite color!" he carries a car around with him everywhere and he will say, "this car is my favorite car in my whole life." he's too funny. Ainsley has been smiling lately. It's still sporatic but I don't think it's gas. I think she is happy!

The little things
I want to use this blog as a baby book for my kids so that when they get older they can look back and read it. I also want to use it as a place where I can write stuff down so I can remember the little things. Colton is a funny kid. His teachers at school tell me how he us their entertainment and how he keeps them laughing. He says so many funny things that I forget. I am going to try to remember them and write them down. The thing that amazes me most about Colton though is his memory. He will be 3 in may and he knows his birthday, my phone number, everyones favorite colors, what he did months ago, etc. All you have to do is tell the kid one time and he will remember. It's amazing. Ainsley is just getting cuter and cuter every day. When I was pregnant, I couldn't imagine having a kid cuter than my Colton but I think I might have acheived it. Well, maybe not cuter but just as cute!
