Christmas 2009!
Merry Christmas 2009! This year was an eventful one for the Moore Family. We went up to Granbury to spend Christmas with Charles' family. We went up on Dec. 23 and when we got there I started throwing up. I didn't stop for 7 hours. We ended up going to the ER at about 10:30 that night and I got 2 bags of saline and some meds to help me stop throwing up. The next day I felt much better. Then on Christmas Eve, we woke up and it was snowing! We went to Dallas to Mark and Beth's house. The snow didn't start sticking until around 3 or so. We left Mark and Beth's house to start our journey home. When we got closer to home, the roads became very slick and we started sliding around. I was so scared! Colton was oblivious and was just having a great time. We couldn't get through the road to go to the house so we tried a back way and ended up pulling over at a Waffle House to wait for John to come and get us with his bigger 4 wheel drive truck. Then John got stuck behind an accident so he went a different way and was finally able to come get us. Then we were heading home! We finally got home around 9:45. We woke up on Christmas morning and it was a White Christmas! Colton opened all his gifts and we started playing with them. Charles and John went to pick up the truck that we left in Weatherford the night before and when they got home we went to Southlake to Kellie and David's house. Everyone was there, all the brothers, grandmas, aunts, cousins, etc. We had a nice Christmas. We headed home and, thankfully, the trip home was uneventful! We played with Colton and his toys all night and then headed home the next morning. Thank you Meme and Pappy for a Christmas we won't soon forget! :-) Here are some pics of our adventure. The video is of Christmas morning is kind of long but I wanted to post it in case Colton wants to see it when he gets older.

San Antonio!
This weekend we took a little trip to San Antonio to watch the TX High School Football State Championship Game. Colton rode public transportation for the first time and liked it! We rode the trolley and the bus. Katy played Abilene and Abilene won! We were only there for less than 24 hours but we had fun anyway.

Santa!
Last night Colton went to see Santa. He was very good and just hopped up on his lap and told him he wanted Shake and Go Cars for Christmas. While I was paying for the photos, he asked me "Where are my shake and go cars." I think he was expecting Santa to give it to him right then and there!
Here is the pic.

Christmas Program 2009
Well folks, the Christmas Program has come and gone. The two year olds sang 2 songs for us. Colton was a very good boy and didn't cry and stood there on stage. He didn't sing though. He had his hand in his mouth the whole time. It was cute though. Here is the video, with commentary from Charles and myself. There are also a few pictures. Colton is standing next to his little girlfriend, Lila.
Baby Update
I went to the Dr. yesterday for my monthly check up. Everything is fine with the baby. I am 28 weeks and had to take my glucose test. I also got the Swine Flu vaccine. I start going every two weeks now so that means its getting closer! Colton is very excited about Christmastime. We went to look at lights in Dickinson yesterday and he had a blast. I didn't get very good pictures though but here is one. His school Christmas program is today and I will definitely record that one. They are going to sing for us! I am so excited.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
On Friday, it snowed in Houston! Colton was very excited about it and I left work early so I could play with him. He got all bundled up and went to catch snowflakes on his tongue. It snowed pretty hard but unfortunately it didn't stick very much and it had rained earlier in the morning so everything was wet and yucky. Here is a pic of him catching snowflakes on his tongue.
Season comes to an end. :-(
Well, Saturday the Chargers lost to a good Katy team. We stayed with them the whole first half and it was 21 - 21 at halftime, but we just couldn't stay with it and ended up losing 38 - 21. It was a wonderful season and we sure are going to miss football (especially Colton) but we can't wait until next year! Soccer starts today for Charles so the poor guy doesn't get a break. Luckily soccer is not nearly as time consuming as Football and he usually will have weekends off.
We celebrated our 6 year anniversary yesterday. It's amazing how many things can change in 6 years. We have a crazy, rambunctious 2 year old and a new baby on the way now. It's crazy to think of!

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!
We have been busy decorating the inside of the house for Christmas. The outside will have to wait until after football! We had to go out and purchase a new tree this year. We just had a 6' tree last year and with the 12' ceilings we have now, that tree just wouldn't look right. We got a great deal on a 9' tree and it fits perfectly! I took a picture of the tree up but not decorated and will take a decorated picture and put it up. Everything is up now! It's nice to have a mantle to hang our stockings on this year. Colton has been enjoying helping decorating. He has quite the vision! Here are the latest pics from the last couple of days of decorating!

Area Champs and visitors!
This weekend, the Chargers played Pasadena Memorial for the Area Championship. We won! On to round 3 and Houston Memorial on Saturday. Charles parents, brother and sister-in-law and baby Charlotte came to town to watch the game. We loved having them here! Colton was very sweet with baby Charlotte. We had her sitting in the little bouncy seat and he ran to his room to get his Elmo chair so he could sit next to her. He's going to be a great big brother.

Big Boy Bed!
We have been making the transition from baby room to big boy room as the arrival of the new baby approaches. This past weekend we purchased a new dresser, nightstand and twin size bed for Colton. Last night, we put the bed together so we could put the crib mattress in the crib in the baby's room for when Charlotte comes to visit tomorrow! Last night was Colton's first night in his "Big Boy Bed" and he loved it! He slept great and didn't get up once. Here is a picture of him laying in bed. He is so happy!

New Pics of baby!
Here are the newest pictures of Ainsley Grace Moore. There are two of her little face and one of her leg. If you can tell, her mouth is open. She kind of looks like she has a troll nose though. I think it's the angle. I hope I don't give birth to a Gnome. If I do, I will love my little garden gnome just as much and it will make picking a halloween costume a breeze! Went to the dr. yesterday and everything is going great. Can't wait until March!
I am getting super excited about Christmas though. I have started shopping and have actually gotten a lot done. I can't wait to start decorating the house. It will be nice to have a mantle this year!

First Playoff Game!
The Chargers are playing their first playoff game on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 6:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium against the Ft. Bend Elsik Knights. After a few trips to Michael's to get stuff for the Offense Board at school, Charles created a masterpiece! Here is a picture of his castle! GO CHARGERS!!!
Colton was feeling a little under the weather this weekend with a fever. This next picture is how we spent most of our Saturday. He would lay on the floor and I would ask him if he wanted a drink or anything to eat and he would say, "I don't want nothin'" It was so sad, yet a little funny. He is feeling much better now and didn't have a fever all day yesterday so I think we are in the clear.

District Champs!
Last night the Chargers clinched the 24-5A District Championship! It was a very exciting night! Playoffs start next week. Go Chargers! Here are some pics. These are the "fat boys" that we eat with every week. Colton loves them! I'll post more pics later when I get them. The other pic is of all the students running on the field after the game. They got in trouble and have to leave though.

We are so proud!
We are so proud of our little boy. Lately at school we have been having some issues with tackling and wrestling. There is one little boy in particular that Colton wrestles and plays with. Today, when I picked Colton up from school his teacher told me that he was very good today and when Christopher (the other little boy) started wrestling with him, he told him, "No Christopher." We are so proud our little man stood up for himself and didn't succumb to peer pressure. I hope this keeps up!

Trick or Treat, Smell my feet...
This weekend was full of fun! First, on Friday, Clear Springs played Clear Brook. We won! We are now 5-1 in district and the district champs. We play Dickinson on Thursday and HAVE to win to be the district champs! We are definitely going to the playoffs though and Charles is so excited to coach his first playoff game! The game on Friday was the last home game so it was Senior Night. Charles walked out with one of his students, Marquis. Colton also got to run through the tunnel again. He gets so excited.
Then Saturday was Halloween so we went to a party at one of the coaches houses. Colton was Tony Romo and Charles and I were Cowboys Coaches. By the end of the night, Colton was a pro at trick or treating. He just went right up to the doors and said, "Trick or Treat," got his candy, stood there for a little bit, said "Thank you" and walked away. Here are lots of pics of our weekend.

The Great Pumpkin!
Last night, Colton and I carved our pumpkin. He was very interested but didn't want anything to do with helping take the stuff out of it. He didn't want to get his hands dirty and that stuff was "ucky". Here are some pics of our adventure. He had Noah's Ark Day at school yesterday. He had to come dressed like an animal. Here he is in his puppy costume. He's going to be a Tony Romo for Halloween but I don't think there were 2 Tony Romo's on the ark so we had to get a different costume for school!
