The Great Pumpkin!

Last night, Colton and I carved our pumpkin. He was very interested but didn't want anything to do with helping take the stuff out of it. He didn't want to get his hands dirty and that stuff was "ucky". Here are some pics of our adventure. He had Noah's Ark Day at school yesterday. He had to come dressed like an animal. Here he is in his puppy costume. He's going to be a Tony Romo for Halloween but I don't think there were 2 Tony Romo's on the ark so we had to get a different costume for school!

"But I was just tackling like a football player..."

That was the excuse I got after Colton got sent to the directors office at Mother's Day Out yesterday. Apparently he and another little boy were tackling each other and wouldn't stop and listen to the teacher so they both got sent to the office. Colton didn't think he did anything wrong. He was, after all, just playing like a football player. People keep telling me, "Boys will be boys." Here is a picture of my little football player.

And we're off...

Here is a picture of Colton riding a bike! He is really good at pedaling.

Da daaaaa da da da da da....

Last night the Chargers played Creek. Creek was undefeated in district. Until last night! We beat them 41 - 13! It was a great game and a great night! Colton, of course, was super excited again to go through the tunnel. He loves it and is probably the littlest one that goes through. He also loves the song that the band plays all the time. Last night, we were up in the stands and the band started playing it and Colton sang along at the top of his lungs for a good 5 minutes. Everyone around us was laughing but Colton was so into it he didn't even notice.

Baby Girl!

I went to the dr. today for my monthly checkup. I am 20 weeks today! Halfway there! They did an ultrasound to check for anatomy and everything seems to be good. She was in the breech position so they didn't get a good look at her heart or spine so they are going to try another ultrasound next month. I am loving all these ultrasounds! I only got 3 with Colton! While the tech was doing the ultrasound the baby was playing with her feet and then she put her finger in her eye! The tech verified that she was, in fact, a girl. That is the third tech to confirm it so I guess I believe it now! I showed Colton the pictures and he said it looked like a monster but he is excited about his baby sister. He wants to rock her and kiss her.

In other news, last night Colton told me he needed to poo poo in the potty so I took him to the potty and sat him down and sure enough, he pooped! He was so proud of himself! He wanted to call Nonna, Pappy, Meme, PawPaw and Markie to tell them the good news. Hopefully this potty training will continue and he will be completely trained before the baby comes.

The Chargers play Clear Creek on Thursday. This is their district rival so we are pretty pumped! It's also going to be on TV. Go Chargers!

Busy Weekend!

We had a very busy weekend. Friday was homecoming for Clear Springs so I took Colton to the carnival and then we went to the game that night. It was cold and rainy. Perfect football weather! Colton and Ty ran through the tunnel and loved it! Unfortunately, the Chargers lost. :-( Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins. Colton found two small ones right away and carried those things around the whole time. He loves his pumpkins. that evening we went to a birthday party for one of the coaches kids and they had pony rides there. Colton rode on the miniature pony and now we think Meme and Pappy need to get a little saddle for Biscuit! then on Sunday, mom and I took the boys to the park and they played on the playground and we walked around the boardwalk. The weather was perfect! Then on Sunday night, we finished off the weekend with a little coloring. We had a wonderful weekend!

The Chargers won last week which puts them at 2-0 in district! Tomorrow is homecoming vs. Galveston Ball. Colton is super excited to run through the tunnel again. I go back to the dr. on Oct. 13 for the "big" ultrasound where they check to make sure everything is ok. I am 19 weeks this week and starting to feel the baby move a little. I am not looking forward to the weigh in part of the appt. because I know I've gained like 10 pounds this month. Uggg...Oh well. I will post pics from homecoming next week!
