In January, Charles went to Granbury to pick up his grandpa's 1970 Corvette! He's wanted this car forever! He has slowly been doing work to it. It's a great car and we are so glad to keep it in the family!
Charles' soccer team won their tournament in Santa Fe! His team did great this year! They won district and Charles had so much fun coaching them.
Ainsley turned 4 in February! We had her party at Build a Bear and she had a blast with all her little friends. I can't believe my baby is 4 already. She is such a fun, talkative, stubborn little girl!
I took her to see Wizard of Oz at the Hobby Center and she loved it. We will definitely go back to the theater again.
For Spring Break, us and the Renfro's went to New Orleans! We had an absolute blast and will be making this an annual trip for sure!
In April, Charles, Colton and I went to Dallas for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. The race was rained out but we still got to go into the track and see everything. We get to go back next year for free so that gives us something to look forward to.
We had a blast at Easter dying eggs and going to Bellville for Easter Egg hunting.
Colton played another season of soccer. He loves it and is really good. He scored quite a few goals this year and in the fall will move up to the 7 & 8 year old team.
Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th anniversary and Mom's 60th birthday this year. We threw them a party at our house. We had crawfish and all the family and friends came over. It was a great time!
Coltons finished 1st grade with flying colors! He is such a good reader and loves to read chapter books. They went to the rodeo for their field trip this year. They also hatched chickens in their classroom and he thought that was the greatest thing ever! We were so lucky to have a great teacher in Mrs. Meengs this year! Ainsley finished her 3rd year in preschool. Next year, she will go 4 days a week. Next year will be her last year until she starts kindergarten! I can't believe it!
Colton turned 7 in May and we went to Pole Position indoor go kart racing with his friend, Lance, and Ty. The boys had a blast! I raced Charles and won!
In June, we went to San Antonio and stayed with the Renfros for a couple of days. We went to Seaworld. We went to see Shamu and he splashed Ainsley! She was pissed and cried until we dried her off! It was hilarious!
Colton has lost several teeth this year and had to get one pulled. He was not a happy camper but I think the tooth fairy compensated him well for his pain!
And lastly, we just got back from our annual river trip! As usual, it was so much fun! I love this tradition we have!
